Long overdue

This machine, built in 1922 but has been in my family for 40 years.  When my mom gave it to me 15 years ago she said "you should put a motor on it".  Well, I finally did.  I also rebuilt, cleaned, tuned it up a bit and made the table.  Not to mention, with some advice from Pineapple Jay, I picked out the appropriate needles and thread to start getting a little more decorative with my saddle making.

  1. Nice update on the old foot-pedal Singer. It probably runs like a sewing machine.
I once hooked a 1/2 horse electric motor to a hand-crank meat grinder. I used the pulleys I had available. The ratio was wrong and the grinder ran at an incredibly high speed. I put some pork in the hopper, and instead of sausage, the result was pink, foamy slime.
